If you follow BFB Hair on Instagram they post a ton of hair tutorials, care tips, and more that I definitely recommend following and saving for future use. Their blog also offers a ton of advice and styling suggestions as well. I am a hair extension newbie so I loved that Barefoot Blonde had a “home try on kit“. This simple kit is the perfect way to ensure that you get the exact right color for your hair. There are certain days when I just feel happier with long hair, and these extensions are the only tool I need.
I’ve used these for a year and they’re still in great condition. Even if you got the cheapest possible extensions at the salon, you would still pay at least $1200 a year! Barefoot Blonde extensions don’t come in a ton of colors, but the actual hair has enough dimensions that one color can easily match a few different shades.

I picked out 5 different shades of blonde to try out. Honestly I feel like I could have gone with 2 or 3 of them but landed on “Sandy Blonde”. BFB Classic Seamless Extensions are $214 for the 21 inch length or $350 for the 24 inch length, which I find to be super reasonable.
For example, you’ll want to leave a super tiny layer of hair at the bottom of your neck and clip the rest up. You’ll then let down another small layer of natural hair and clip the new layer. Before you put the extensions in, I recommend spraying your hair lightly with texture spray or dry shampoo. This isn’t necessary by any means, but it does help the clips hold for longer and makes the process easier for a first-timer.

I part my hair horizontally around the temple area and just clip them in…that’s it. You can curl, flat iron, and braid whatever you normally do to your hair. It’s pretty easy to tell in photos that my natural hair is pretty thin. It’s certainly not thick, but not as thin as some people. It’s just this middle ground where it could definitely use a bit of oomph, especially when I decided to curl my hair.
I used to have tape-in extensions, and I had to wash and blow-dry them even on lazy days and sick days when I didn’t want them. A set of tape-ins wouldn’t last past 6 months max due to constant use, but my clip-ins have lasted over a year and are still in great condition. When I had longer hair, I use to bulk my extensions in a few main spots, but with shorter hair, you really need to be more deliberate. You can get your extensions trimmed and add some layers to help them blend with short hair, but I don’t personally recommend this. These clip in hair extensions work best if you’re looking for length as well as some volume.
I spent two hours brushing them out before I gave up. This hair can be treated just like your normal hair which is amazing. As someone new to the extension game – not having to do anything “special” to my clip-in makes the process so much easier.

Standard stateroom bathrooms aboard Carnival Celebration are noticeably smaller, and seemed cramped and difficult to even turn around in and could present challenges for larger passengers. That modern styling continues too in stateroom bathrooms, which are crisp and well-designed and finally shed the horrifying pinks and pea-soup-green plastic molding found on past ships. Gone, too, are the cylindrical showers with the clingy curtains, replaced instead by a generously sized shower with an articulated door that slides out of the way when opened. In typical Carnival fashion, its neon-blue and orange Body Wash and Shampoo are located in pump-dispensers mounted to the wall. The colors may be garish, but we actually like the scent of both. The patience passengers will need aboard Carnival Celebration extends to the passenger elevators, which never seem to arrive in a timely manner, and are nearly always packed to the brim with people.

Carnival Celebration is a Win for Multigenerational Families
Carnival is the undisputed leader among North America-based cruise brands when it comes to affordability, which makes it popular with vacationers on a budget. The overarching idea for Carnival's ship deployments is that a large percentage of the U.S. population can reach one of the line's ships by car, saving the cost of flights. Note that the Carnival fleet is scheduled to grow over the next year with two more new vessels. As noted above, the line has ordered another sister vessel to Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration that will be ready to sail in late 2023. Carnival has just begun operating its first truly giant ships in years, the 181,808-ton, 5,282-passenger Mardi Gras and the 183,521-ton, 5,374-passenger Carnival Celebration.
In a departure from Carnival's American-focused business model, the Australia sailings are aimed mostly at the local Australian market, though they are open to American travelers. However, with two exceptions, they're not giants by today's standards. Entertainment, at times, is as lowbrow as the line is low-cost.

The shorter version of the itinerary, however, includes two full days at sea, while the longer cruise features three full days cruising in the Caribbean. You know we definitely see our share of coastal areas, so it’s easy to imagine how special a place it is to us. That’s why paying tribute to the magical spot where the water meets the land just feels so natural.
And while that attempt keeps things small – human, even – it creates problems as the ship’s most popular spaces fill up early and stay that way. With Carnival Celebration, Carnival has started to bring more interesting décor in public spaces back, in a more modern (and perhaps accessible) way. These include the Miami-themed sandwich and pizza joints, Miami Slice and Deco Deli, on Deck 8 aft that channel the vibrant, often neon look found in Miami’s South Beach neighborhood.
Most of these six ships (all but Carnival Venezia) have an a la carte barbecue-and-beer joint called Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse Brewhouse, too. Other extra-charge eateries often found on Carnival vessels include Bonsai, an a la carte sushi restaurant (now on 14 ships), and JiJi Asian Kitchen, which costs $24 per person (now on four ships). Note that Carnival's two oldest ships — those that are part of the 1990s-built Fantasy Class — have relatively few balcony cabins by today's standards.

A French Quarter-styled zone on a new ship wouldn’t be complete without an unassuming little bar that feels like it’s always been there. At 800 feet in length, these aren't the biggest roller coasters ever. Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse Brewhouse, notably, has its very own in-house brewery you can see behind glass walls — something still relatively rare on cruise ships.
